2017

In August 2017, we gathered for our inaugural “I Am” Series event at the Shalem Bridge in Doña Ana, New Mexico. Shot by Santana Ochoa, this first series of photos holds a very special place in our hearts, as it was the first time that we saw our vision as a reality. These beautiful photos not only illustrate how diverse our community of survivors is, but also highlights the beginning of SAYSN’s story.

At this first event, we began our tradition of offering participants free buttons. As you may notice in some of the photos, these buttons are a burgundy color (similar to our current logo) and have the phrase “I AM” SAYSN.
