Ida D’Antonio-Hangen

Ida D’Antonio-Hangen is a recently retired FBI Special Agent with 22 years of service. She spent her entire FBI career in Las Cruces, NM. During my time with the FBI, Ida investigated all different types of criminal cases, with her specialty being Indian country crimes and Human Trafficking. In 2009, she started the Human Trafficking (HT) working group in Las Cruces and her passion has only increased to bring HT awareness to the community. By educating the community, others will be trained on the indicators of HT and possibly be able to rescue a victim.

Ida’s other passion is helping students at NMSU achieve success in their pursuit of their law enforcement careers. She is currently serving as a Visiting Professor at NMSU and teaching Criminal Law, Forensic Law, Criminal Investigations, and Human Trafficking courses.
