render: An online magazine & art collection

render /ˈrendər/

(1) cause to be or become; make.
(2) to reproduce or represent by artistic or verbal means.

render, more than a blog, is our online magazine and collection of artwork, essays, stories, poetry, informational articles, and interviews written by and for survivors and those that support them (occasionally with the help of others).

We believe that one of the best ways to support, empower, and connect survivors is through storytelling—whether that happens through writing or visual art. That's why we made render.

The word “render” means: “to cause to be or become,” or “to reproduce or represent by artistic or verbal means." And by submitting your writing or art to our collection, you do just that. You show the world how you choose to represent your trauma, healing, or victimization. You transform your pain into something powerful.

We accept submissions from folks around the nation, so no matter where you are, your story has a place.
